Hello Wizards!!

I have some news.. big news! Okay, I can't blog anymore... My blog, Around The Spiral With Edward Lifegem has made it to official status for Wizard101!! I'm so excited! I know I've submitted a lot in the past but I finally made it the other day. Kingsisle contact me and ask me if I wanted to blog about Wizard101 while being on the fansite list and I said yes. I'm really shocked. I promise I'll blog about both games as much as I can and I hope the new readers of this blog enjoy all of my posts. I really don't know what else to blog since I'm too excited, but I promise I'll have more posts later today/tomorrow. Look attheimagebelow...

I have some news for you today.. Recently I haven't had a chance to level on my swashbuckler, Edward Cringle, because I've been thinking about deleting the character so I have time to level my other characters.. I'm sorry, but I feel like I'm not spending enough time on my other characters and I'm making too many blogs for Edward Cringle and not my other wizards. My witchdoctor wizard, Edward, has been farming for gold but I feel he needs more time to train for the spells he needs. My other wizard, Edward Hawkins, needs to level his pets. I think it's time I delete my swashbuckler... I love Wizard101's swashbucklers, but I don't have enough time to level him because I'm making this post... I've included a few pictures below so, please scroll down through the pictures and comment below if you think I should level my wizards instead. I promise I'll still make blog posts if you want me to! Nvm... I quit. Scroll through the pictures I've attached to this post..

Okay, before I begin this post I want to tell you that this isn't an April Fools joke! It actually happened. I'm shocked because I haven't been able to level this much in a very long time. I've been leveling on Wizard101 more this week than I have since 2011 or 2012. Can you believe I'm leveling on Wizard101 more than Pirate101 at the moment? No.. That doesn't mean I love the game more than Pirate101, I love the games the same amount for different reasons. :) I do plan on making a schedule for posts and leveling, but until then I have many blog posts I want to start making now. :D

I promise you that I'd make a post when I finished Avalon and I knew it wouldn't be that long of a wait so I'm happy I can make this post now. I've wanted to make this post for a long time since my life has been stuck in Avalon for months not doing anything... well, I guess keeping plants alive, that is something right? :D Anyways, I'm happy to announce now that Edward Lifegem has finally finished Avalon! I still can't believe he has but I had help from a friend to complete the last dungeon and it didn't take long to finish and defeat the dragons in this dungeon and get the sword of kings! :D Pendragon didn't like me, but I didn't like him either and ended up casting a gnome on him that hit 11,000. After we got him down to the health where he could be defeated soon, he cast a scarecrow and then cast a spell on himself that ended in his defeat. I guess he didn't want to see another 11,000 hit? :D It was a lot of fun completing this dungeon!

After I finished the last dungeon in Avalon and healed the king and all I had to go back and talk to Merle Ambrose. He gave me the Hero Of Avalon badge and I was done. Not.. I ended up traveling to Ravenwood and collecting the Azteca Entrance quest from Cyrus Drake since I really wanted to see the world that I would soon be leveling in. I had to do a few things before I could travel to Azteca and I've attached images below to show you what I had to do get make it to Azteca. I'll say goodbye now, I hope you have a great day today! Don't be fooled too much, I bet there are jokes everywhere. Oh.. did I tell you I made Official Fansite?? :P I didn't? Well I didn't make it! I hope you enjoyed that April Fools joke earlier. Hi there!

I wanted to tell you all that Kingsisle released a new mount in the crowns shop today. This new mount is unlike any other mount on the game and it's EPIC. This new mount is called the Mighty Steed Mount and is sold in both the Wizard101 and Pirate101 crowns shops until April 6th at 11:59 p.m. CST and can be bought for 3,750 crowns in both crowns shops! I'm not going to lie to you, it's my new favorite mount and I will be using it when I quest through the game. :D Thank you KI for releasing this mount, it's so funny, cool and awesome. Lately I've been thinking about having my first event on Pirate101 but couldn't think of what kind of event I would have. I decided to have a Pirate101 Farming Event so I could meet all of you on the game for the first time and we could farm for gold to level our companions or buy a new house from the crowns shop. :D If you're up to farming with me this Saturday, April 5th 2014 at 3:00 P.M. Hello Wizards!

Today Kingsisle release the April 2014 Wizard101 Newsletter and one thing that really caught my eye was Khrysalis Part 2! Before I get started on that, let me talk about a few other things in the newsletter such as Eggbert. Eggbert will be coming to the spiral soon since Easter isn't far away and he'll be in the shopping district soon with pet eggs and of course the bunny outfit.. yes the one Ian Stormstaff has! Wizard101 Fansites are also having contests and you'll have to check them out when you can. :D

Kingsisle has also announced in this month's newsletter that we will see new pets, spells and weapons along with many other things when Khrysalis Part 2 is released! The test realm should be released this month with the second part of Khrysalis and hopefully it'll be released during the Summer when everyone is out of school and can test out all of the new awesome updates Kingsisle has been working so hard on for us. :) I can't wait to see this second part of Khrysalis along with everything else they are releasing. :D Anyways, if you'd like to check out the rest of this month's Wizard101 Newsletter just click on the image above! There's been so much news in the spiral I can hardly keep up! Can you believe all of the awesome news we've had? Today Kingsisle release their April 2014 Pirate101 Newsletter with news about the "very" soon to be released test realm with a new panorama on the Newsletter. There are many other things that I won't talk about since you should check it out yourself and read more about this awesome update. I can't wait to see what Kingsisle has for us! I'm excited about it and can't wait to test everything they've worked so hard on for us. One thing I'm excited about is the Advanced Companions, I really can't test that out on the test realm. I have that feeling the test realm will be released within a few days (Today-Friday). I know there's been controversy over the stuff Kingsisle is planning on releasing but before you get too upset about it, please test it out and let Kingsisle know what you think about it. It's like a book, you never know what a book is going to be like unless you read it. Today Kingsisle released Khrysalis Part 2 in the Wizard101 Test Realm so we can test out everything such as NEW School Pets, NEW Spells and NEW NEW!!! Sorry, I'm a little bit excited. :) I really don't know what else to say about this new update. I guess.. go test it out by clicking on the image to the right to read the rest of the update notes for the test realm!! So news hit the spiral that the Wizard101 Test Realm was released, yeah.. before the Pirate101 Test Realm, but that's okay. Wizard101 is awesome and I know it will be a lot of fun. I guess I'm sad because I was really looking forward to the Pirate101 Test Realm opening up. I read the words test realm on Twitter earlier and the first place I ran to was the Pirate101 website! I have been thinking a lot about the Advanced Companions and Pets and of course the Skull Island expansion. I really can't wait to see everything KI has worked on the past six or more months. I know everything will be deleted after but this might the test realm I look forward to the most out of Wizard101 and Pirate101. Don't get me wrong, I love Wizard101 and everything they are releasing but sometimes when you're behind you don't really enjoy something as much as you would if you could get it yourself. That's why I'm excited about the Pirate101 Test Realm, even if we are behind, we can still test out everything on the test realm and enjoy it in the live realm once it's released! I really can't wait to get my new class companions and test out the advanced pet feature. Which Pirate101 update can you not wait to test out? Comment below. :D

It's been about a week since I last leveled through my main quests on my swashbuckler, Edward Cringle. I think I've been putting him off because of all of the news that keeps happening and I love blogging about it so all of you can see what will happen in the spiral soon! Yesterday there wasn't much happening for Pirate101 so I decided to start leveling my swashbuckler on his main quest again. :D Yesterday I had to talk to a lot of people and most of the post is about different people to find out where the missing shipment was. I still had a lot of fun questing again on my swashbuckler. :)

The last time I quest on my swashbuckler I had to help Gilbert and Sullivan find a lost shipment and in return they would help me find out where Mustang Sally is. I had to locate Mr. Rockstraw to find out what happened to their shipment and he said the shipment was stolen. Yesterday, Sullivan told me that they need the shipment because their associates were waiting for it. Sullivan told me he wanted me to deliver a note to Captain Corcoran to let him know there was a delay in the shipment. On my way to Captain Corcoran, I ran into Blind Mew. Blind Mew told me he heard noises by the storm drain (the one where I talk to Mr. Rockstraw) and he heard wooden crates being carried away from the drain. Blind Mew heard the main guy talk with a Valencian accent and Blind Mew said it sounded like horseshoes when he walked around. That means we have to look for a unicorn that stole the contraband. After I talk to Blind Mew, I went on and talk to Captain Corcoran to tell him about the shipment delay. Captain Corcoran knew that the unicorn that stole the contraband was a unicorn named Iago. Corcoran went on and said I needed to talk to Bill Bobstay in Scrimshaw to find out if he could tell me where I could find Nick Deadeye since he knows Iago. I know.. I'm telling you everything that happened so the story/quest makes a little more sense. :) Anyways, after sailing to Scrimshaw Bill told me I could find Nick Deadeye on the Scrimshaw Island.

I had to battle Nick Deadeye since he was protecting Iago but after I defeated him he told me where to find Iago with all of the contraband. Nick told me that I could find Iago in a vortex in Port Regal called The Maelstrom of Malice. Once I found him I had to battle him as well and it wasn't hard to find him at all. I think questing yesterday was the easiest quests I've done on the game so far! I was worried this post wouldn't make sense since I really didn't do much other than talk to a lot of not so much people. :P After I collected the shipment, I traveled back to Sullivan and gave him the shipment. After I gave him the shipment I collected from Iago, he told me that he talk to Mustang Sally a few weeks before and that Sally was in Port Regal to free a prisoner from Fort Elena but she was captured and she's a prisoner now. Sullivan then said she was working with a pirate named, Catbeard (Meow, Meow, Meow). That's where I stop questing yesterday since I was busy afterwards. I can't wait to talk to Catbeard, he's actually a friend of mine. :) Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral!

Hello Wizards!

If you haven't read by now, my life wizard Edward Lifegem made it to Azteca! Lately I've been questing him through Azteca to see if it would be easy to solo through the world on a life wizard. I don't think it's that bad soloing through this world but I do need help a few times because of a dungeons/bosses I can't defeat alone. I've noticed I've had a lot of trouble defeating myth and ice enemies. I've had trouble defeating myth enemies because of their earthquakes that get rid of all of my blades so I put feints in my deck instead. Ice enemies are also difficult because of their tower shields but I always do find a way to defeat them. It takes longer to defeat those two schools but I always finish! :)

Yesterday I knew I would have trouble defeating a myth boss and his fire minion alone so I decided to side quest since to put it off until I could defeat Ponce De Gibbon. As you know, he does cheat on the game so I knew I wouldn't be able to defeat him at all. After side questing through a few quests Brandon Owlsword ask me if I needed help on any of quests and I ask him if he could help me on the Ponce De Gibbon quest. He was nice enough to help me through this quest that I would be stuck on until I finished every side quest on the game past and future! :P Thank you so much Brandon, you have no idea how much this meant that you helped me through this quest. I do feel bad for him, he went first and Ponce kept on attacking him (see image above). He's an awesome balance wizard, thank you again! :) There are bosses that I know I'll be able to fight even though I know it'll take awhile to defeat them. I'm just happy to announce that leveling on my life wizard isn't as bad as I thought it would be soloing and it is okay to ask and accept help. Thank you for reading, I'll update you again on how I'm doing in Azteca when I can. Level 85 on my life wizard so far!! I'll see you around the spiral. :)

Yesterday I host my first event ever and couldn't believe how many pirates were there and how long the event last! I really want to thank all of you for showing up and supporting my blog. We even had trivia when before and during the event. :D It was a lot of fun farming with you all. Hello Wizards,

I've been thinking about how much I've changed since creating my first wizard on July 4th, 2009. I can't believe how much I've change since 2009. I still can't believe soon I can finally tell everyone I've been playing Wizard101 for five years. I don't know how much hours I've played on Wizard101 but I know I've enjoyed every single hour I've been on the game. Don't worry, this isn't my last post and I'm not quitting the game, I just like thinking about how much the game has change and how much it's change me.

As you know, I've been playing the game since 2009 and I've been through a lot of test realms and events. I remember when Wizard101 had a contest on the test realm where everyone could redeem a code to win a prize for the live realm. I also remember my first test realm with mounts.. Wow, mounts have change the game so much. I'm happy Kingsisle added mounts because if we didn't have them, we'd have to run around on our feet. Wait what? Run around without mounts?! Yes there was a time where we had to do that :P The first time I logged onto the test realm, we had well over 100,000 crowns (could have been 200,000) to spend on mounts and I remember going to Olde Town and racing our mounts with other wizards. The first mounts to be released was horses, lions, brooms and dragons. Everyone on the test realm had a mount and we all enjoyed racing them around. :) No, I didn't win the race, but I still had fun. :D I met tons of new friends in 2009 and I'm glad to say now that even though I don't get to talk to them, they are and will still be my first best friends on Wizard101. *see image above* :)

After all of the test realms in 2009 I met the community in 2010. I know many of you know that Mary and I created our blogs Pie Loving Necromancer and well... Wizard101... I know, I know, strange name but I didn't know what to name my blog! :P The Friendly Necromancer really inspired me to blog because he made blogging seem like so much fun and I thought it would be nice to create my blog to let everyone know how I was doing on the game and what's happening in the spiral. That's where my idea of Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem started. I created my life wizard in 2010 and I thought it would be a great idea to call my blog Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem after another name switch (wizard101->the life of a wizard or something like that->around the spiral with edward lifegem). Another wonderful memory I remember is going to Diary of a Wizard's Ravenwood Ball & Birthday Bash. I went to the first one and I didn't know anyone other than Mary. I was shy, but I still felt like this was the community that I would love to be friends with. During the 2nd Ravenwood Ball (see above), I met a lot of wizards since the first one and I was good friends with everyone. The 3rd one in 2012 was also awesome, I miss Fallon, Diary of a Wizard and events like these. In 2013 there wasn't a Ravenwood Ball which was crazy because I was hoping there would be one every year. It's okay that sometimes things don't happen but it doesn't mean it won't happen this year or the next. I hope Diary of a Wizard/ Fallon comes back soon. :)

I know I didn't tell you everything that happened in the past or it would have to be every post I've made on this site. I want to tell you that every post on this blog is a great Wizard101 memory. I love making posts for this blog because one day in 20-25 years I can come back to my site and remember that I had a great time with all of you all. I'm so happy I have all of these memories even the bad ones because they make me stronger. Thank you all for everything! I just want you to know that you're all special and I'm glad I joined Wizard101 on that rainy 4th of July so I could meet all of you. :) Now... I think it's time to start making new memories. I don't hang on to the past, I remember the past because it will be part of the future one day. Thank you for reading, I hope you all have a ton of great memories too. I would also like to thank Kingsisle for making this wonderful game, Wizard101. :)

I'm sure you've heard by now that the Pirate101 Test Realm has been released with all kinds of awesome updates! I knew that I would have to wait for the test relam to see if all of the Pirate101 updates would be as awesome as Kingsisle said they would be and they are. :D I've been on the game lately testing out all of the new updates and you wouldn't believe how much fun I've been having! I've test out a little bit of everything but for this post I'm going to tell you what I think about the new advanced pets.

The first thing you have to do to figure out how to level your pet and everything is to talk to Mickey Dugan right by Avery's Office in Avery's Court. There's a long quest that will help you figure out everything you need to know about pet leveling & pet pvp. You will need this quest to sail to Bestia from Avery's Court. I recommend you complete this quest so you know how to level your pets and if you're up for a challenge, pet pvp. I won't give anymore hints on how you're supposed to do this since you can find out how to on the Test Realm or on the Live Realm once it's released. I think this update is my favorite update I've test out and can't believe how much awesome there is in this update.

I really can't believe how much fun I've had leveling pets. I know a lot of you know that leveling pets on Wizard101 does take a lot and sometimes you can't get what talents you want. Pirate101's Advanced Pets are different, in a good way. :D I like everything about the advanced pets and can't find anything so far that I don't like about it. I think everyone should test this out and then tell everyone if you like it or not, I bet you'll like it because it's not a requirement to level your pets because of a worry you're pirate won't make it through the next world. Pirate101's advanced pets are far different than Wizard101's advanced pets.

Leveling pets on Pirate101 are a lot faster and easier to level because you can choose the level and difficulty to level your pet. There are different worlds you can level your pet in *along with different levels* you'll earn more experience, health, strength, agility by each level and the higher world you level your pet in. You don't have to sail to that world to level your pet. You can level your pet anywhere you want to level it. If you decide to level your pet, there is a wait time with the type of strategy you level your pet with. You don't have to wait if you don't want to! You can spend a few crowns to speed past the wait time (doesn't cost much at all). I think it's awesome to level your pet by the level, and it doesn't take as long as you would think it would. You can actually buy and earn snacks (will blog about that on another post) and the snacks do not cost much gold. I'm sure by now you've read awesome about 100 times... no... 101 times now! Oh... did you know that your pets increase in size once you level them to a high enough level?! :D If you don't want the pet size to increase, don't level your pet and it'll stay the same size it was before the update. :)

One last thing I would like to talk about is the pet morphing. I can't believe how awesome this is. There is a pet morphing tent in Bestia where you can morph/hatch pets for the price of gold. You have to morph your pet with another different pet for a chance to get a new morphed pet. You can hatch your two pets or you could hatch with another pirate's pet to get your awesome pet. I know this is an awesome feature to have to get the coolest looking pets in the spiral! I am glad Kingsisle added this feature to the game, I'm sure you'll be noticing a lot more pirates in the live realm showing off their pets once the test realm has been released to the live game. Make sure to report those bugs on the test realm so we don't have any on the live realm. :) I know it'll be hard to remember that since Kingsisle released so many epic features. I made a post a few days ago about one of the new updates on the Pirate101 Test Realm, the advanced pets, and I decided that I'd make another about the advanced companions today! There's so much to look forward to and I've only had a chance to test out a few things on the test realm. I plan on testing more out today or tomorrow so I can make a new post about it to let you know what I think about it.

The advanced pets on Pirate101 are just as awesome as the advanced pets! I'll tell you the truth, at first I was worried advanced companions wouldn't make sense and I'd be left behind on it but this isn't something anyone should worry about. I think it's the best feature Kingsisle could add to this game. Why do I think this is the best feature? Well... let me talk about an example of one of the orders the companions can now do. Lets say one of your companions that you don't really like using for battling just stays behind and you never use him. Well when this feature is added to the live realm you can now use that companion, not for battle, but for an order. Let's talk about one of the features I like the best, Keel Haulin'. You can send one of your companions that you don't want to use in battle on a quest for training tomes by using the Keel Haulin' order! This is awesome because if one day you're busy and don't have time to farm for gold, you can send your companions on a quest to get training tomes by clicking on the companion you want to send and then you would have to click on New Orders. If you send more than one companion on the same quest, it'll take longer for the 2nd companion, and longer for the 3rd. This counts for all of the orders in the picture above.

There's one thing I'd like to talk about before I continue about the advanced companions. Kingsisle also added new class companions for all pirate classes! I'm happy all of the pirate classes gets new class companions (who doesn't love getting a new companion?). The musketeer class gets a flamingo companion- like the one above-, witchdoctors get a shark companion, swashbucklers get a frog swashbuckler and privateers get a monkey conquistatrix companion. I've test out most of the companions and think they will be an awesome addition to my crew. I'm excited about using most of them as my firstmate. You'll be seeing my frog companion a lot on my swashbuckler's posts once this update is added to the live realm. :D The class companions are awesome but if for some reason you don't like your companion you can use the orders. Now.. I have one more thing to say about the orders.. If you want your companion to collect a lot more of lets say gold from Plunderin', you can train your companion a talent that will help your companion gain 10% more gold from that order quest you sent your companion on. I've added images below of examples of what I'm talking about.. :D Altogether, I think it's a nice idea Kingsisle added the advanced companions feature and new class companions to the game. I really can't wait to see these updates on the live realm! I'm already preparing for everything for the live game by well... making these blog posts! Haha. :D Okay... I know you've probably read a lot already but I have one last thing to tell you before you look at the images below.. Pirate101 is also giving us companion training tomes! They will give us the number of our companions we have worth of training tomes. This the last awesome thing I have to blog about... at least for today.. Hello Wizards!

Today Kingsisle released two new Wizard101 mounts to the crowns shop just in time for Easter. Well, it's called Spring mounts but I'm going to call them Easter mounts instead. :) These new mounts are EPIC. Seriously... I want one! I will get one before Easter ends. :D I hope you all decide to get one too because they are only available for a limited time which means you won't be able to buy them after Easter until next Easter. You can buy the Caerbannog Rabbit for 3,750 Crowns and the Prismatic Hare for 4,500 crowns only in the crowns shop! Kingsisle released the Springtime Pets in the Crowns Shop today! If you haven't heard by now, I've been giving away codes that have to do with these springtime pets. They are so cute. Ahoy Pirates!

I finally have a new blog post about Edward Cringle! I haven't been able to quest on my swashbuckler because of the test realm's release last week and I really wanted to make my posts that I made last week before I started questing again. I'm so happy I test it out because I didn't know if it would mess with my questing or not. I really can't wait until the test realm is released because it does have awesome updates and I can't wait to see them on the live game. :D I'm sure you'll start hearing more about my companions and pets once the updates are released to the live game. :)

I'm going to stop talking about the test realm for now and start talking about my last blog post and the quest I had to complete today! On my last blog post Edward Cringle had to help Gilbert and Sullivan find their shipment that was stolen by Iago, a valencian unicorn. Gilbert and Sullivan knew where Mustang Sally was and they wanted me to help them before they would help me. After collecting their contraband I sailed back to their shop and they told me that Mustang Sally was helping a prisoner out of Fort Elena but was caught and she was made a prisoner. Gilbert and Sullivan then told me that Mustang Sally was working with a cat named Catbeard and he might know more. Today I had to sail to Catbeard's Lair to find out more about what happened and who she was breaking out of Fort Elena.

Today I found out that Catbeard and Ratbeard don't like each other. I think they have the same relationship as Tom & Jerry! I also found out that Mustang Sally & Catbeard were hired by Gortez to break into Port Regal to free a penguin, Napoleguin. Napoleguin was an emperor of Polaris. Once he became emperor he attacked all of his allies. Napoleguin was betrayed by Marleybone and Valencia and he was then captured and sent to Fort Elena. Gortez wants to free Napoleguin so he could help him win the civil war in Monquista. Catbeard wants to free him so he can have all of the pickled herring that'll last him his entire life! I'm sure by now you see him eating it above.. He also told me that Polaris is full of pickled herring. That's important information!

Catbeard said he knew a way I could get into the prison to free Mustang Sally if I helped him free Napoleguin. Catbeard said he wanted me to start a war with Marleybone. He said he wanted me to start by attacking ten of the Marleybone Ships in Port Regal Skyway. I didn't like this quest because it took a very long time and sometimes two ships at one time attacked me and my ship couldn't handle all of the attacks. Sometimes my pirate had to fight the enemies on their ships because my ship health was low. I don't really know about this quest but I'm sure it's easier for everyone else. I'm one of those pirates that don't like a quest if it takes too long (30 minutes), but I'm happy when I finish so I can post about it on this blog. :D I think the most important thing about this quest is to have the right ship gear so it doesn't take too long. I had to switch my gear around and by the end of my quest, it was a lot easier to defeat these ships. So.. today I'm going to give away a code for crowns so everyone that's having trouble can get the right ship equipment from the crowns shop or whatever else you want. :D I didn't stop questing after defeating the ships but I sailed back to Catbeard's ship and told him what I did he then told me what he said in the picture below. :P
