Pirate101 NXP Event/ Contest!

Ahoy Pirates,

Apologies for not posting as much lately! I've been sick and haven't had time to level on Pirate101. I do have a way to make that up to you. I am going to have a Pirate101 NXP Event this Saturday! If you show up to my event, you'll have a chance to win a code. If you would like more info. about this, keep reading!




















  • Pirate101 Event/ Contest: Show up to my NXP event to level your nautical level as much as you can and also have a chance to win a code at a later time. To win this code, you have to stay at least 30 minutes at my NXP event. I will type three keywords within the event: One Keyword at the five minute mark of the event, another at the 20 minute mark of the event and the last keyword at the 30 minute mark of the event. You have to show up at first to hear the first keyword. If you have text chat you will be able to see these keywords! 
  • Event Starts Saturday & Contest Ends Sunday: My event will start at 5:00 P.M. CST this Saturday, June 28th. We'll be meeting up in One-Eyed Jack Realm in Avery's Court. Please meet up before 5:00 P.M. CST so you hear the first keyword five minutes after the event starts. I will port everyone to Archaen Skyway, Aquila so we can fight Captain Spartacos along with surrounding ships to nautical as much as we can. Don't forget, I will be typing out three keywords during this event... keep reading for more information about that..
  • Keywords, Email, Winners Announced Sunday: During this event, I will be typing three words at 5:05, 5:20 and 5:30 CST. Make sure you're at the event to read the keywords and once I type them, write them down because you'll have to email me with the three keywords you see. Email: edwardfrostgem@gmail.com and be entered to win one of six prizes by random.org: Clowns Fish Pet + 10,000 Crowns, Two Hammerhead Shark + 5,000 Crowns (one code per person), Three Thresher Shark Pets (one code per person). This contest will end at 12:00 P.M. CST Sunday and I will email the winners shortly after and make a blog post of the events and winners.

Hi there,

Okay... Lately I've been thinking A LOT about... well... removing some ads on the bottom of my site after the 4th of July. I'm sure a few of you were worried that my site has some kind of virus and that isn't true. I've had these advertisements at the bottom of my site rolling since the end of last year and I decided that after this month I'm going to remove them. It's time to say goodbye to the advertisements! Oh wait... did you think I was leaving?? I don't think so! I'm going to be here awhile, so get used to me. :) Thanks for reading this short little blog post. OH... before I forget.. I added a new thing to my blog where if you scroll down enough you can click on the up arrow (at the bottom right) and you can scroll right back to the top of the blog. Hey again!

Edward Lifegem Learns Shadow Magic & Gets His Level 98 Life Pet!

Hello Wizards,

I have some exciting news about my life character today.. Well.. you should already know it by reading the title of this post. My life wizard has finally learned Shadow Magic and earned his Level 98 Life Pet, Dryad! The good thing is that I had help for the eclipse tower.. If you don't want to take a long time leveling through the Eclipse Tower alone, just ask for help from a friend. :) I have been looking forward to shadow magic and my level 98 life pet since Khrysalis Part 2 was released. I still can't believe my life is level 98, I guess hard work does pay off. I know I had a lot of interruptions in the past few months but that won't stop me from getting my character to level 100 before next Friday. :D











He's not far from making it to level 100. I remember deciding in April that I would level my life wizard again to see how far he would get.. I started leveling in Avalon and now I'm almost in Khrysalis Part 2 (or I am, I really don't know if I am or not)! I have a good feeling I will get all of my wizards to level 100 before August 4th. I'm glad I have you all because if you wasn't here, I wouldn't be leveling my wizards to 100 as fast as I am now. It probably doesn't seem like I'm leveling them fast enough but considering all of the stuff that happened in the past two months... you can call me speedy! 









Since I made it to level 95, I've noticed that it's easier to defeat the bosses in Khrysalis alone... Matter of fact, this morning I had to defeat a nearly 30,000 health ice boss and one of his storm minions. That boss did take awhile to defeat but I made it through! I remember fighting malistaire long ago with four other friends and I thought he would be the most difficult boss and thought a 20,000 health boss would be crazy and we'd never be able to defeat a boss like that... Now that cap is level 100 instead of level 50, I change my mind and say a 50,000 health boss would be crazy!!! I'm kidding. :D Anyways... here's the moment you've all been waiting for.... Here's my life Dryad pet, Stella!!!

Post #1: Looking For A New Game

Hello Wizards,

I thought I'd start something fun this week and make a blog post about everything that got me started on Wizard101 and my past experiences on the game. Today I decided to make a post about what I did before I even played Wizard101. Before the 4th of July in 2009, I played games like Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation 2. Crash was my favorite game in the world and I started playing in the early 2000s all the way to at least 2008 or 2009. I knew it was time to look for a new game in 2009 because I was starting to get a little bored of the games I was playing and thought a computer game would be fun to play!


Don't get me wrong, Crash is still one of my favorite games but I thought it was time to play another game to see if I liked it.. Some time went by and I didn't play many video games at all and thought I wouldn't play many until new ones were released because I tried looking up games online such as World of Warcraft and POTCO and they didn't interest me at all mostly because of all of the lag they had and I had an older computer that wouldn't make it through all that lag. I decided to quit both games and start playing Club Penguin and liked the game until I had to pay... :P In 2009 I was looking forward to the Fourth of July, just like I do every year, and it started to rain!!! I knew that day would be ruined because of the rain and I wouldn't be able to shoot fireworks with my family so I went to my room and turned on Cartoon Network.... Wait... I'm getting ahead of myself now... You'll have to see what happens next, tomorrow! (I promise I'm not promoting anything other than the game Wizard101 and soon to be Pirate101)! :D I'll see you tomorrow with Post #2

The Patriotic Leprechaun

Hello Wizards!

It's that time of year again, where we shoot off fireworks, have bbq's and celebrate our country's independence! We can also celebrate on the game by getting a patriotic leprechaun in the Wizard101 crowns shop for 2,500 crowns *and it comes with a Satyr Card*. :D I remember getting my patriotic leprechaun a few years ago and I always change the color of my robes to red and blue to match my leprechaun. I will do that every year I'm on Wizard101.. Here's a picture of my life wizard with his patriotic leprechaun!

Hi there,

Happy July! This week I'm making a post everyday this week since July 4th is my 5th year wizardversary or... kingsisleversary! :D You wouldn't believe how much awesomeness I've been through on this game... I thought I'd make these posts so I can look back on them in the future and remember everything that happened before and after I found Wizard101. :D


If you haven't read my first blog post, click HERE to read that and then come back to this one if you would like to. :) Anyways.. on my last post I talked about the games I played before I started Wizard101 and in 2009 on a rainy 4th of July I found the perfect game! I found out about Kingsisle's Wizard101 game and thought that game would be perfect for me. I know it seems like I should have been outside on the 4th of July but I thought it was going to rain all day so I decided to turn on cartoon network and I noticed a commercial playing *the commercial above* and I decided to go to their website and create an account and make my first wizard an ice wizard. I named my ice wizard Edward Wintergem!


I'm glad I created an account that day because within a year I was addicted to the game and met many amazing friends! I met so many friends on the game that I leveled with and they helped me out with Sunken City when I had trouble on it and thought it was the most difficult dungeon the game would ever have! :P I'm happy I met new friends on the game when I needed friends the most that time in my life. Thank you KI for a great game.. :) Shortly after I created a... oh wait... I think it's time to stop typing for now.. Thank you for reading! Ahoy Pirates!

Kingsisle released this month's Newsletter (can't believe it's already July) with a ton of great information about the future of Pirate101 and a ton of last month's awesome events. This month the newsletter if full of a lot of great notes that I think are important and fun to read. :D One thing they released is a Rogue's Gallery featuring Mustang Sally! I remember talking to her on my swashbuckler, Edward Cringle, last month. :D


That rogue's gallery provided a lot of information about Mustang Sally! I can't wait to see who they have planned for Rogue's Gallery next month. Post #3: Creation Of My Blog

Hi there!

I didn't get to make this blog post this morning so I will make it now instead. :) On my last blog post I talked about how I made my Wizard101 account nearly five years ago (July 4th, 2009) and a little bit about my ice wizard, Edward Wintergem. It still feels like yesterday that I met Headmaster Ambrose the first time and helped him fight off Malistaire in the tutorial. I also remember begging for gifts from people.. LOL wait what? Edward begging for membership and crowns in the commons? Yes.. It happened! :P



















After begging for gifts on my ice wizard, I met a friend that told me that I needed to be careful with my account because someone could steal it if I asked them to give me crowns by taking my account. I'm not going to lie to you, one time long ago I did tell someone I was going to give them my account in exchange for crowns and a membership.. I'm glad I didn't because I wouldn't be here blogging on my four year old blog getting ready to enter my fifth year of Wizard101! NEVER give away your password or you'll never get to celebrate every year of Wizard101/Pirate101. I want you to keep your wizard like I have kept mine all of these years. :)

















I ended up creating a blog with Mary Dreamshade on May 10th, 2010. Mary's blog was called The Pie Loving Necromancer and my blog was called Wizard101... I know that's a crazy name, so I changed it to The Life Of A Wizard and then Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem and now... Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem.. ;D I was inspired to blog because of The Friendly Necromancer, I remember reading some of his old posts back in late 2009, early 2010 and thought he was awesome *I still think he's awesome*. After I created my blog, I met up with the community even more than I had before! I will blog about that tomorrow with post #4.. :D Thank you for reading!!! :)

Post #4: Meeting The Wizard101 Community

Hiya!

Tomorrow's the Fourth of July! I've been preparing to celebrate both the Fourth of July and my 5th year wizardversary. I still can't believe I've been playing Wizard101 nearly five years! I guess I'm shocked that I've been playing this long and at the same time know why I have. :) On my last post, post #3, I talked about the creation of my blog and a little bit about my ice wizard. I ended yesterday on a picture that I'm going to use today... :D



















If you're new to the community, you might not know what this is an image of since Diary of a Wizard is currently closed down. I remember really meeting the community the first time in late 2010 at the First Annual Ravenwood Ball and Birthday Bash! I only knew Mary because she ported me there and I noticed a ton of people and I was very shy so I didn't talk much. I remember staying for a few hours because I thought it was fun and it was the biggest party I've ever seen on Wizard101. I couldn't believe the community was this big and I knew that I'd love to add everyone there (found out there was a limit on my friends list :P). During the second year (the picture above), I had more friends so I could talk to a few more people while I was there. :)



















The third annual Ravenwood Ball in 2012 was a lot of fun too! I arrived about.... 6 hours early for the event! I remember the last two and knew I'd have a lot of fun at this one just like I did at the first one. I had plenty more events that I went to in late 2010 through 2012 and I love having those memories! The Ravenwood Ball happened around the time I was in Pirate101 Beta and I decided to change my wizard's clothes to match Pirate101 a little bit. :) 2012 was a very fun year... this brings me into the Pirate101 part of my posts that I will make tomorrow.. :D The next few posts will be Wizard101 & Pirate101 related. :D I will stop on Sunday with my last post (not my last blog post, but my last # of posts about my Wizard/Pirate history).. Edward Lifegem Makes It To Level 100!

Hello Wizards!

I've been wanting to make this post since last Sunday but I've had so many blog posts that I planned this week so I had to put this post off until today! Well, many of you know from my announcement on Twitter that my life wizard finally made it to level 100. :D I know I should have been level 100 long ago but real life knocked on my door and I had to answer :O. Anyways, I'm glad my life wizard made it before the 4th of July so I could make this post.. :)

















My life leveled all the way through the first part of Khrysalis Part 1 and part of Khrysalis Part 2 and finally leveled to level 100. I'm thinking about leveling through the rest after August so I don't have to later, but I know I leveled early because I leveled through a lot of side quests. Side quests help a lot if you want to level when you get stuck on a quest that you can't go through. That's exactly what I did when I leveled on my life wizard and got stuck on a quest in Khrysalis. I can't believe he's actually level cap! This is the first time he's level cap before the next world with everyone else since he was level 60. Thank you all for your support. :) I will make another blog post next week about my ice wizard. Edward Wintergem will be my third character to make it to level 100. :D

Level up!! Life is officially level 100! Well... maybe not.. If you count the Test Realm :P

5th Wizardversary!

Hello Wizards,

Today is officially my 5th Wizardversary which means I've played Wizard101 for 5 years!! I still can't believe I've played Wizard101 this long, I've had so much fun on the game and hope I stay at least another 5 years. :) A lot of things have happened on the game since I started and I'm happy that I've been here to experience all of them. I'm also happy I have this blog to let you all know how I'm doing on the game, what I think of the game and many more things. Thank you all for supporting my blog and myself all of these years that you've known me! I also want to thank Kingsisle for two awesome awesome games, Wizard101 and Pirate101. I discovered Pirate101 through Wizard101 and I'm happy I can play both games. I hope you're reading this KI, because I want all of you to know that I appreciate all of the hard work you put into the game, from mounts and new school houses to shadow magic and advanced housing. Thank you! :)










































I've also had many events on Wizard101 that I really had fun at such as my Birthday Party (which was July 28th, not November 28th :P) Autumn Dreamwalker hosted, leveling to level 100 and many more things that I want to remember by putting on this blog post.. Thank you everyone for the awesome time. :)

Hello Wizards!

I hope you all had a great 4th of July. I know I did! My town had wonderful fireworks and I ended up having a bonfire and eating smores and then shooting off fireworks of my own. I think yesterday was one of the best 4th of July's I've ever had. Anyways.. Today is usually the boring day when you have nothing to do and most likely you're sitting down reading this post thinking about why today is a boring day... that all changes right... now!! :D Today, Blaze Shadowhorn from Tales of the Spiral is hosting a 5th of July party! I think this will be a lot of fun since most likely most of you have nothing else to do (I'm guessing that because I didn't have anything to do today- just like the day after Christmas). I hope you all show up to Blaze's party, he's planning on having a few contests too! If you would like more information, click the image attached below! 5th Of July Party Recap!

Hello Wizards!

Yesterday I made a short blog post about a party Blaze Shadowhorn from Tales of the Spiral was planning on throwing last night. I can't believe how many people were there at the event! Reuniting The Magnificent Seven + 400th Pirate101 Post (Pt. 3)

Ahoy Pirates!

I can't believe that last month was the last time I made a questing blog post! Today I have another one for you and I hope I have more Edward Cringle questing posts this month too. I wanted to make this my 400th post since a lot of my blog posts are related to Edward Cringle! I can't believe I've made 400 blog posts about Pirate101. I know I'll end up making a lot more but I thought I'd let you all know how many Pirate101 blog posts I've made so far. Anyways... Thank you all for reading my blog this long and I hope you continue reading my crazy Pirate101 posts. :D



















Now... Let's talk about Edward Cringle and where he has been as of late! On my last blog post my swashbuckler continued to reunite the magnificent seven. I had to fight Tyson the chicken so Buffalo Bill could join again. If I didn't win that means I'd owe him money, but that wasn't the case! I won the fight and I talked to him afterwards. Buffalo Bill told me that he would join the magnificent seven again and he told me where to find two other members of the seven. I left off on a quest to find Bill Peacock and Jane in Cooper's Roost. Buffalo Bill told me that he would meet me in Tumbleweed after I get them to join again. I had to sail to Cooper's Roost (on my old ship) to ask them if they would join the Seven again..



















Once I arrived in Cooper's Roost I had to run into the Silver Spoon Saloon to talk to them and ask them if they were willing to rejoin the Magnificent Seven. I talked to Bill first and he said he didn't want to go until Jane said she wanted to rejoin the Seven again. :P I didn't have any trouble reuniting these two the Seven but they told me that Bat Masterson (another member of the Seven) was in the Mines of Cooper's Roost. Once I arrived to the Mines, Bat told me he was willing to rejoin but a strongbox that Bat was going to pay the miners with was stolen by Banditoad Ships in Tumbleweed Skyway and I had to defeat six of the ships to collect the wages so the miners could be paid.. :P



















I decided to buy a new pirate ship in Tumbleweed because I had problems with Banditoads in the past and knew that I needed a new ship before I tried sinking their ships. I bought my new ship for 15,000 gold and plus a lot of new equipment (other than the horn) and I knew I'd be ready to battle these ships. I didn't have any trouble sinking the ships and I didn't have join a battle with them. I had a lot of fun on my new ship! My ship does look bad (good) doesn't it? :D After sinking six of the ships, I sailed back to Cooper's Roost to give Bat the wages that were once stolen. Bat told me that he would join the Magnificent Seven again and he was glad to get out of the cave we was stuck in... :P I leveled to level 32 when I went back to talk to Bill and Jane to tell them that Bat joined too. They told me that there was one more person that I had to get in order to have all six of the members... I'll blog about that another day! Reuniting the Magnificent Seven (Pt. 4)

Ahoy Pirates!

Wait a minute... Is it true that I'm making a blog post a day after making my last one?? Yes! I promise you're not dreaming. :D I will have a lot more Pirate101 blog posts this month (especially since next month will be my 2nd pirateversary)! Today I leveled my swashbuckler a little bit more and I thought I'd make another blog post today.. :D




















On my last blog post, I had to find Bill Peacock & Jane in Cooper's Roost and ask them if they would rejoin the Magnificent Seven. They both ended up joining again and they sent me to talk to Bat Masterson to ask him if he would rejoin. Bat told me he would join but he needed to pay his miners before he could. I had to fight six Banditoad Pirate Ships in Tumbleweed because they stole the money Bat was going to use to pay the miners. After I completed that quest I had to return to Bat and he told me that he would rejoin the Magnificent Seven again.. I left off on talking to Jane and Bill and they told me that Billy the Kid was the last of the Seven because Wyatt died in the past. They said he ended up going to Santo Pollo but was thrown in jail by the Frogerales in Banditoad Trail. I had to pick up some dynamite in Cooper's Roost so I could bust Billy out of jail along with the other members of the seven. After picking up the dynamite I had to sail to Santo Pollo from Cooper's Roost (long ride so I made some popcorn ;D).




















Once I made it to the inside the Frogerale Jail, I had to fight 2 fights of frogerales and usually three or four joined. I didn't have any trouble with these three fights and my companions made it through without being defeated! I don't think the first three fights were difficult. The third fight was a little bit more difficult because I had to fight a ton of frogerales and a few more appeared after I defeated one of them on the third fight. Make sure you're prepared for more to enter on the third fight if this is your next quest. After I was done with the fights outside of the place Billy was being kept, I had to fight the Warden of the jail before I could free Billy the Kid. I don't think this fight was as bad as I thought it would be.. :D If you look at the picture below, you can see that I had a lot of fun defeating the enemies in this fight. :) If you pay attention to the fights in this dungeon, you'll have a better chance of finishing the dungeon a lot faster.. :D




















After I defeated the warden and all of the other frogerales, I had to free Billy by using the dynamite I picked up in Cooper's Roost. After I freed Billy we went outside and used the mine cart to escape and that was the end of the dungeon. This dungeon wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and I'm happy I had my swashbuckler because he made it a lot of fun. :) If you're about to start this quest, don't worry at all! You should do fine and you won't need to worry about anything unless you're not paying attention to which enemies you're attacking. I put my popcorn away for this dungeon so I wasn't distracted by anything. :D I wish you all good luck if you're about to start this dungeon! :) Okay, now I'm going to end this this blog post with one last picture..
